ARO Dragon a vazut lumina lumii in anul de gratie 1997, fiind intentionat ca o (noua) gura de salvare a uzinei ARO prin contractarea de masini de teren catre armata.

Pentru motive necunoscute, armata nu a achizitionat foarte multe ARO Dragon, desi Adrian Nastase a primit un exemplar "civilizat" (gen Hmmvee -> Hummer H1 pentru Arnold) in scopuri vanatoresti, cadou de la uzina.

Dragonul este construit pe sasiu 24x, caroserie noua, mai lata fata de o caroserie obisnuita de 24x. Mecanica este identica. Similar cu Gama 24x, Dragonul a fost "declinat" in aproape toate versiunile posibile - 5 usi (tip 244), 4 usi decapotabil (tip 241), 2 usi utilitara cu cabina separata in spate (tip 320 carosat, inchis), etc.

automobile realizate pe un sasiu cu ampatamentul de 2600 mm, destinate Ministerului Apararii Nationale pentru actiuni specifice acestui minister, putând fi echipate cu diferite dispozitive militare: AG, mitraliere, etc.

ARO SA Campulung.

In urma procedurii de faliment, drepturile asupra marcii ARO si modelelor, tipurilor constructive, etc, au revenit la Land Mark Investment, care daca nu ma lasa memoria doreste 1 mil. Euro pe ele. Adica pe drepturile de marca / modele / masini / etc, ceea ce ar include si designul caroseriei de Dragon.

Totusi caroseria de Dragon are si un fel de dezavantaj dupa parerea mea - e putin mai lata (cu 20 cm) decat o caroserie de 24x, si sincer nu vad de ce ar fi nevoie ce mai mult spatiu interior fata de 24x.

-daca ar fi asa,atunci AMROM pe ce baza ofera AMR RAPTOR?Chiar mai mult, acesta a fost inclus prin anii 2006-2007 intr-un proiect de dezvoltare.

Ca sa poti "copia" o masina si sa nu fii dat in judecata trebuie sa ai 3 repere ale caroseriei diferite fata de original. Asa capoti lua caroseria de Dragon ii schimbi 3 repere, schimbi numele si ii pui un motor strain cu firma careia trebuie sa ai contract. In principiu asa fac chinezii.

AMROM nu cred ca OFERA AMR Raptor la vanzare, ci doar au facut un prototip functional, modern cu care am avut onoarea sa ma plimb... Andoria Turbo Diesel Euro3...

Pe de alta parte, intradevar, ama are dreptate, exista anumite conventii internationale care prespun ca un numar de repere (atat optice cat si tehnice) sa fie diferite - cred ca erau undeva pe la 140 daca nu ma insel. Pe vremuri singurul caz de copiere care s-a soldat cu judecata si despaguburi a fost Lada si Fiat... Acum au urmat Smart si Chinezii si altele, toate cu chinezii...

Insa da, putem produce un "ARO" care sa fie similar tehnic, dar diferit, si cu un design tip Dragon.

-designul caroseriei Dragon se inscrie in stilul masinilor germane 4x4:ADLER V10T-numai prototipuri 1941,apoi continuate de modelele est si vest-germane:HORCH P3,DKW MUNGA,Goliath jagdwagen.Cu toate greutatile din anii '90,uzina ARO chiar a facut niste eforturi-in creatie.Foarte deosebita era si macheta care trebuia sa inlocuiasca gama civila, prezentata intr-un nr. al revistei AUTO-MONDIAL-anii'90.

Daca te referi la masina rosie, ea inca exista ascunsa pe undeva.

Din pacate putea sa intre in productie, dar s-a decis ca nu, desi era totul gata pentru linia de montaj. Pacat. Poate ar fi fost altfel "viitorul". O sa incerc sa fac un reportaj despre ea.
